Federico Escobedo

Federico Escobedo obtained his BA in Actuary at Anahuac University in Mexico City. He started his career in Telefonos de Mexico, S.A. as an Econometric analyst in the Strategic Planning and Economic Studies Direction. In 1984 he was hired as the Financial Director for Grupo Codicorp S.A. de C.V. a company that realized an income in excess of 1.3 billion dollars.

By 1987 he had been named President of Grupo Cordicorp and under his responsibility Codicorp Group had 3,000 workers and 200 professionals engaged in real estate development and construction. On top of his career he also raised 4 children as a doting father. The latter obviously being more challenging. Deciding to live permanently in San Diego in the year 2000 Federico decided to open up his own company based in San Diego.

He has been a partner in the development and construction of 5 luxurious homes in La Jolla, California and consulting for development projects such as The Village at Puerto Peñasco and Villas Vista Vallarta. Lately he has been involved in several real estate projects throughout southern California including Villas Del Mar in Chula Vista and Sapphire Blue in Pacific Beach.

Professional Qualifications:

1982 – 1984 Mr. Escobedo started his career in Telefonos de Mexico, S.A., as an Econometric analyst in the Strategic Planning and Economic Studies Direction. Developing the Mexican econometric model and the national and international long distance forecasting models, achieving 99% accuracy; utilizing linear regression, time series analysis and ARIMAX methods. Also, utilizing artificial intelligence and user friendly technology, developed computer programs in APL and Fortran 77 for these models.

1984 – 1987 Continued his career as the Financial Director of Grupo Codicorp, S.A. de C.V. where experience was obtained in finance, risk management, treasury and development of investment projects.

1987 Mr. Escobedo was named President of Grupo Codicorp, S.A. de C.V. The Codicorp Group realized income in excess of 1.3 billion dollars, mainly in the areas of real estate development (mixed use, housing and industrial), construction (25,000 housing units, industrial warehouses and petrochemical plants, infrastructure of 6,300 acres, 450 miles of roads and highways, railroads, dams, touristic developments; including the project Palmilla in Los Cabos (which included a 28 holes golf course and 5 lakes designed by Jack Nicklaus), mining, industrial plants (3 Sand and gravel, 3 block, 2 concrete and 1 pipe), construction machinery (buying, selling and maintenance) and transportation.

Under Mr. Escobedo’s responsibility during the times of major construction activity in Mexico, Codicorp Group had 3,000 workers and 200 professionals engaged in real estate development and construction. His additional skills included personnel leadership in a large organizational structure, union negotiations and business management on an international scale. His responsibilities included: identifying new real estate opportunities, construction projects, industrial and mining operations, feasibility and market studies, financial planning, finance and treasury, project management, daily operations, human resources, contract negotiations, sales and marketing, client relationships, legal and tax issues, and in general, all the fields necessary for the management of a development corporation.

2000 – Present Mr. Escobedo has been a partner in the development and construction of 5 luxurious homes in La Jolla, California and consulting for development projects such as The Village at Puerto Peñasco and Villas Vista Vallarta. Martin G. Silva

Design Architect

A talented and results-oriented Senior Designer with strong passion and appreciation for design and detail, Martin’s Track record consists of achievements in managing complex architectural and construction projects from inception to completion including planning, estimating, and client/contractor interactions. He has expertise in commercial and residential projects

Mr. Silva is a design dependable CAD drafting professional with over 3 years of experience using Solidworks, Sketch-Up technology. With ten years of experience in architectural design, his areas of expertise include AutoCAD.

Martin G. Silva is a skilled CAD drafting professional with hands-on experience using design techniques and producing precision technical plans, prints, drawings and models.

Sophia Escobedo

Sophia Escobedo is the General Administrative Coordinator for California Development & Construction Corp. She studied Politics and Economics at San Diego Mesa College and Anahuac University in Mexico City. Sophia speaks Fluent Spanish, English and is proficient in Italian. She is responsible for customer service, accounting and payroll. She has volunteered for many years with various charities, always trying to better the county in whichever way she can and has a very strong work ethic.
